Meet the 'Jews for Zohran'
Plus, violent criminals get reduced bail thanks to judges appointed by North Carolina’s Roy Cooper
An ad campaign from the “Jews for Zohran” caught our attention yesterday. We tracked down the “rabbis” in the ad. You won’t believe it, but one of them, “Rabbi” Abby Stein, is a transgender rabbi who was booted from a Biden White House shindig for disrupting the event with demands to end U.S. aid to Israel. This is my shocked face.
Stein, a biological man, is the type of committed Jew who sat down for an interfaith dialogue with Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian just days before he launched nearly 200 missiles at Israel, our Jon Levine reports.
The “Jews for Zohran” ad campaign, sponsored by Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, also featured the left-wing rabbi Emily Cohen of Manhattan’s West End Synagogue, whose official biography lists her professional experience as “baking challah” and “developing curricula for adult education classes on Judaism and social justice.”

President Trump: “Help is on the way!”
The Trump administration is considering reversing its position and resurrecting a flawed Biden-era policy that would slash physician reimbursement by 90% and could lead to 431,429 unnecessary amputations and 180,000 lost lives. Millions of Americans—including seniors, veterans, and people living with diabetes—rely on trusted physicians for advanced wound treatments. President Trump must trust his instincts and help doctors, nurses, and patients, not Washington bureaucrats, by preserving access to essential wound care. Learn more about this pressing issue.
North Carolina’s Roy Cooper is running for Senate as a tough-on-crime governor who kept thousands of criminals behind bars. The judges Cooper appointed while leading the state complicate that pitch. They have reduced bonds for repeat offenders guilty of violent crimes.
In one case, our Andrew Kerr reports, a county judge appointed by Cooper promised to “help out” Octavis Wilson, who raped and assaulted a 29-year-old Charlotte woman in a porta-potty one month after he was arrested for missing court on a separate charge of attempted rape. The judge, Tracy Hewett, was true to her word, lowering Wilson’s bond from $2 million—the figure a magistrate initially set—to just $50,000.
Then there’s the case of Shyrone Evans, a career criminal who racked up 37 felony charges before strangling and punching a woman in an attempt to stop her from calling 911. Evans was back on the street after another Cooper appointee, district court judge Kendra Montgomery-Blinn, set his bond at just $15,000. Less than two months later, Evans allegedly crashed a stolen Kia into a man who was on his way to receive dialysis, killing him.
Zohran Mamdani sobbed like a girl last week while suggesting that the real victims of 9/11 were Muslims like his aunt, who “stopped taking the subway after September 11 because she did not feel safe in her hijab.” Mainstream journalists accepted his claim at face value. Independent truth seekers did not, our Andrew Stiles writes. “They uncovered evidence suggesting that the aunt in question, Masuma Mamdani, did not wear a hijab and lived in Tanzania between 1999 and 2003.”
Mamdani later clarified that he wasn’t talking about his aunt but rather his dad’s late cousin, but details. The ordeal prompted an array of epic responses from “nontraditional journalistic commentators.”

Graham “My Totenkopf” Platner’s campaign manager is out after just three days on the job, citing his wife’s pregnancy and his desire to “lean into this new experience as a family.” Remember when you quit your job before the baby was born to really lean in?
Zohran Mamdani’s dad, the Columbia professor who called for a “Third Intifadah,” is out with a new book on the brutal Ugandan tyrant Idi Amin. It’s a “startling book,” Tunku Varadarajan writes in the Wall Street Journal, “not because of the writing—which is often repetitive, tediously autobiographical and awash with anticolonial pieties—but because ‘Slow Poison’ is an apologia [for] a bloodthirsty tyrant like few others in modern history.”
Likely Texas Senate candidate Jasmine Crockett recently delivered a speech on how it’s not a “peaceful time” to be a black woman in the United States… from a glitzy beachfront resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she and a group of “Squad” members including Ilhan Omar sipped mimosas at a “Women’s Retreat Weekend” hosted by the island’s non-voting delegate, Stacey Plaskett.
The historically liberal American Federation of Government Employees blew a hole in Democrats’ government shutdown messaging on Monday, saying in a statement that it’s “time to pass a clean continuing resolution and end this shutdown today.” Republicans in the House, of course, have already done that.

Too stupid to live.
It's gotten so bad that I want to think it can't get any worse. But I know that it can and will.
